Kobe Bryant’s Scene in Netflix's ‘LA Originals’ on Netflix Is Beautiful

Netflix released a new series on Friday, “LA Originals,” based on two LA artists. The first is Estevan Oriol, a photographer who tour with the Beastie Boys, No Doubt, and more. He also directed the Netflix film.

The second is celebrity tattoo artist Mark Machado, aka Mister Cartoon.

He’s tattooed some of the most famous people in the world like Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kobe Bryant to name a few. Mister Cartoon was Kobe’s tattoo artists for years! Mister Cartoon was the man who tattooed the names of Kobe’s family on his arm.

In his interview with LA Originals Kobe said, “Tattoos are a big thing in the NBA. “I mean, not just in the NBA, but in sports culture in general. I always said, I had guys on the team who had tattoos, but they didn’t go to Mister Cartoon. And it becomes pretty apparent because I can’t read what the fuck’s on their arm anyway.”

Mister Cartoon was crushed like the rest of us when he heard the devastating news of Bryant’s death. Kobe had scheduled an appointment to get a new tattoo of his youngest daughter, Capri, a week after he passed.

If you have a chance, make sure you check out “L.A. Originals” on Netflix.
