Like many of us, Laker player Quinn Cook was heartbroken by the news of Kobe's tragic passing! Quinn was even seen outside the staples center holding a Kobe jersey!
Kobe's numbers are already retired with the Lakers but we're hearing many players in the league are unofficially retiring his numbers!
Well now it's come out that Quinn has decided to retire his number 2 jersey in honor of Gianna Bryant! Gianna's number was 2! UConn even honored here the other day at their game!
Quinn idolized Kobe and wants to do what he can to honor Kobe and Gianna's legacy! Normally the league doesn't allow players to change their numbers mid season, but hopefully they allow this to happen! I would love to see Gianna honored with the Lakers and maybe even the WNBA! She had such a promising future, Kobe said she was better than him at her age!
