A Japanese billionaire, Yusaku Maezawa, said he'll give 1,000 of his Twitter followers who retweeted one of his tweets... $9,000! Maezawa, who made his fortune in fashion, said that he will select the recipients at random from a group of followers who retweeted a post of his on January 1. - the post above all this writing is the winning ticket! Lol

He views this offer as a "serious social experiment" to see if free money can boost people's happiness.

It’s also driven by a curiosity about universal basic income — a system that essentially pays someone simply for being alive.

  • yes, it will make us much happier to get money for being alive!

He will track the results of his experiment through regular surveys of the recipients.

Oh and Maezawa will also be the first private passenger to fly around the moon with Elon Musk's SpaceX!
