Be Aware of this Netflix Scam!

A number of Netflix customers have received an email from the streaming media giant, asking them to update their billing information to continue receiving service. There's only one problem with the request: It wasn't sent by Netflix. Fact-checking website Snopes reports it's received several inquiries from suspicious Netflix users who have received the email, which is actually part of a phishing scam to steal each recipients' credit card information. This particular scam has been circulating since 2017, according to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Netflix officials advise subscribers to never type in credit card information after following an emailed link; in fact, don't follow an emailed link at all -- instead, type "www.netflix.com" directly into your web browser to be sure you're going to the right place. Have you ever fallen for a scam? Have you ever outwitted a scammer?
