YG’s new interview with Big Boy is a tear jerker. He’s promoting his new album ‘4REAL 4REAL,’ which was postponed due to Nipsey Hussle’s death. On the album is banger “Go Loko,” which YG mentions DJ Mustard is a genius for coming up with.
YG goes on to talk about Latino culture in Los Angeles, and how he’s grown up experiencing both black and brown culture. YG then goes on to recall his brotherhood with Nipsey Hussle. He says that Nipsey always encouraged him to create a brand that will outlive him, and that the only other person who plays that role in LA is Snoop Dogg.
He also calls out all the fake Nipsey supporters saying that they’re “fake, goofy, clowns.” YG is troubled by the loss of Nipsey, especially because he was a father and now his kids will have to grow up without him. He is giving Nipsey’s children a percentage of every song off the album. YG was at Mustard’s house with Nipsey was shot...and now he has a big question mark in life. He points out that all the things Tupac talked about doing, Nipsey was actually beginning to accomplish. YG questions how God can take someone like that away from the people, and can’t accept Nipsey’s death. As for the album ‘4REAL 4REAL,’ YG says it’s his best album since ‘My Krazy Life.’
When asked about the song “Stop Snitchin,” YG states that the song isn’t even about Tekashi 69....and goes on to explain what exactly snitching is. He also talks about “FDT,” fatherhood, and much more in the interview. Watch below:
