“Empire” star Taraji P. Henson says Jussie Smollett will return to their Fox show amid news that the actor will be sued by the city of Chicago.
Henson directly answered one of the many questions looming over her embattled costar when she appeared Thursday on ABC’s “The View” to promote the show and talkabout mental health and pay inequality.
“Yes,” she said of Smollett’s return, “I haven’t heard anything else.” Reps for Fox Television and Fox Entertainment did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for confirmation.
