Just Matthew is the Missing Link Between Philippines & United States Rap

As another installment to Nico Blitz's video podcast The Lunch Table, he interviews Los Angeles-native Just Matthew, a proud representative of the Filipino community in hip hop. Specializing in melodies and contemporary rap's sound, Just Matthew aspires to be the bridge between the Philippines and the United States for the genre.

Being extremely late on this sound that's hot in the U.S., there's not many contemporary rappers that have made a name out in the islands. They're used to the Golden Era of hip hop, but thanks to Spotify's Pinoy Rap playlist, Just Matthew (along with other Filipino-American rappers) has made the sound known in that portion of the world. Check out his interview with Nico Blitz on The Lunch Table, where the two talk about everything that is Filipino-represented hip hop.
