Were These The Most Disappointing Albums of 2018! Do You Agree?

Well it's that time of year, where everyone drops some kind of End of the Year Lists! And the first was The Most Disappointing Hip Hop Albums of 2018! The list comes from Turntable Thoughts Now it's not to say the albums were BAD...it's just saying, it didn't live up to the hype!!!

Here was the list of 10-5

10. Lil Baby & Gunna – Drip Harder

9. Princess Nokia – A Girl Cried Red

8. Lil Yachty – Lil Boat 2

7. Mike WiLL Made-It – Creed II: The Album

6. Anderson .Paak – Oxnard

No on to the Top 5!

#5 - YG - Stay Dangerous!

Their reasoning - "YG chose the safe route and failed to evolve."

My thought: Big Bank was one of the biggest songs of the year and I even rapped to it at my wedding, so I disagree!! Great job YG!

#4 - Nicki Minaj - Queen

Their Reasoning: She let her feud with Cardi and Travis Scott overshadow the work she put in. "The album ended up being a launch pad for her petty antics as she antagonized her way into the limelight."

My thought: Agreed. It was hard to listen to the album when there was so much drama surrounding it. But I do know it's a good album!

#3 - Migos/Quavo/Takeoff – Culture II/Quavo Huncho/The Last Rocket

Their reasoning - "It’s time to realize that Migos may be way past their prime, and the saturation of their already infinitely copied style isn’t exactly the best way to maintain relevance anymore."

My reasoning - I kind of agree, but I loved Culture II and can't wait for III - but with the solo albums, it is a lot of Migos.

#2 Beyoncé & Jay Z (The Carters) – EVERYTHING IS LOVE

Their reasoning - "However, content-wise it’s just The Carters telling you how rich they are and how much better their life is than yours. The rest of the tracks don’t veer too far away from these lyrical flexes."

My thought - NOPE! BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

#1 Nas – Nasir

Their Reasoning - "Nas has gotten lazy and perhaps a sign that Life is Good may be the last great project that we will ever get from the aging legend."

My thoughts: It wasn't what we were use to, it kind of fell short!
