Janet Jackson shares on Tupac's 'thug life' tattoo, Kendrick Lamar & more

The legendary icon Janet Jackson went into the booth with REAL 92.3's Bootleg Kev and DJ Hed for an exclusive interview.  Ms. Jackson opened up and shared her thoughts about Tupac, new music with Daddy Yankee and the current state of r&b.

Although her latest single "Made For Now," was recorded over a year ago, Janet was thrilled to have Daddy Yankee jump on it.

"Daddy (Yankee) told me had heard the song and he had to be on it. That's how it actually happened.... It was already a really feel good song and what he did with it made it that much sweeter."

When asked which rapper she would work with now, Janet reveals that she wants to collaborate with Kendrick Lamar.

"I would love to work with Kendrick. I really enjoy listening to his work," says Janet.

She also opened up about working with Tupac Shakur on the 1993 movie "Poetic Justice." Apparently Pac got his infamous "Thug Life" tattoo during the time they were shooting the film.

"I think he was really special, incredibly talented and definitely an icon. I remember when he got (Thug Life) when we were shooting "Poetic Justice".... it was over the weekend," reveals Janet.

Janet adds that Tupac was definitely not a diva and was so brilliant.
