People Are Apparently Asking Plastic Surgeons to Make Them Look More Like Snapchat Filters!
If you’ve ever used a filter on social media and wished you looked that way in real life, you may be suffering from “ Snapchat dysmorphia,” a mental condition where a person is obsessed by the flaws they think they have.
It was previously called “body dysmorphia,” plastic surgeons are saying they see a rise, as much as 42 %, of patients who want plastic surgery to look better in selfies!!
"This is an alarming trend because those filtered selfies often present an unattainable look and are blurring the line of reality and fantasy for these patients." said doctors who recently wrote an article on the increasing trend in the Journal of the American Medical Association Facial Plastic Surgery.
