Another week, another exclusive G.O.O.D. Music listening party. This time around Kanye West rallied his troops on the East Coast for the premiere of Nas' eleventh studio album, Nasir. The legendary Queens-bred rapper took it back to his roots by holding the event at Queensbridge Park, just steps away from where he grew up.
There was no shortage of recognizable faces at the event. Attendees included Kim Kardashian, LaLa Anthony, Chris Rock, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Waka Flocka Flame, KYLE and many more from the music and entertainment industries.
In Kanye listening party fashion, attendees gathered around and vibed together as each track blasted from the speakers. The seven song album was produced by Kanye West and features the following tracks:
1. Not For Radio (ft. 070 Shake)
2. Cop Shot The Kid (ft. Kanye West)
3. White Label
4. Bonjour
5. Everything (ft. Kanye West & The-Dream)
6. Adam and Eve
7. Simple Things
REAL 92.3's Big Boy met up with Nas at the listening party and got a chance to chat with him about the journey to his new album. For Nas, there were only three words to describe the event and his new project: "It feels good."
On Working With Kanye
I haven't thought of a word yet for it. I'll come up with it soon.
Coming Home For His Album Release
I'm a community guy. I'm a regular guy at the end of the day. I love being here. I have a restaurant up the block called Sweet Chick. We do a lot her, man. I couldn't think of anything else. This is best for me.
Big Boy also caught up with President of G.O.O.D. Music, Pusha T. He got his thoughts on Nas' new album, how the string of listening parties are changing the face of releasing music and where he stands currently in his beef with Drake.
Releasing Consecutive Projects From G.O.O.D. Music
At the end of the day all of the artists have their own lane. When we're done with this little run you're just gonna put them all on your playlist and rock them with all anyway. I'm happy. I'm happy with the way it's all turning out and I'm happy with the way everybody's really getting their shine.
Who Had The Best Listening Party?
I'm gonna tell you man. Being here, man. This is different. Being in front of Queens Bridge is different.
Is The Beef With Drake Done?
I'm off that. Daytona, man. I'm about Daytona. I'm about GOOD Music. Im about everything that we're doing with this music over here.
