You Would Never Guess How Much It Cost for This Passenger to Give Up Seat

A woman from Washington D.C. was traveling to Austin, Texas on a overbooked flight on United Airlines. The airline staff asked passengers if they would volunteer their seats.

After many refused to do so, the staff told the woman directly she had to give up her seat since she paid less for her ticket.

This doesn't make much sense we know but, the woman was quick to express her feelings on twitter which led to them offering her a vocher

She was originally offered $2,000 for a voucher but then was offered a seat an $10,000 voucher by another agent on a different flight.

Sources over at Complex claim The offer is in line with the airline’s new capacity for passengers who offer up their seats.

Next time you get asked to forfeit your seat, think about it before saying no.
