Singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez brought it all to the The REAL Show stage. The songstress performed tracks off her debut EP Kiddo, including her brutally honest breakthrough single "Figures." Reyez kept it real by telling the audience to appreciate the people with good energy, and cut out the bad ones before she performed the single to her short film, "Gatekeepers."
The 26-year-old's uninhibited style has caught the industry's attention and she's already working with some big names, including Calvin Harris. Reyez was featured on the EDM producer's highly acclaimed 2017 release, Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1, on the track "Hard To Love."
Natalia & Ayyde of Big Boy's Neighborhood caught up with Reyez before the show, and surprised the 26-year-old with a custom jacket styled with her own lyrics. Reyez discussed artists she would like to work with and how much she appreciates the intamcy she has with her fans.
"Its insane already being so far away from home, and having that intamcy with people I've never met, and them feeling that instant love- that's crazy."
