Rick Ross Addresses His 'Insensitive Comments' About Female Artists

Earlier this week, Rick Ross made headlines when he made some pretty interesting comments about signing female artists to his growing MMG imprint during an interview with The Breakfast Club.

When asked why he's never signed a female emcee to the label, he implied that in order for him to invest in them, they would have to return the favor...

“You know, I never did it because I always thought that like I would end up fucking the female rapper [and then] fucking the business up.” Rozay said. “I’m so focused on my business. I gotta be honest with you. You know, she looking good and I’m spending so much money on the photoshoots…I gotta fuck a couple times.”

After a ton of (well-deserved) backlash the hip hop community, Ross has taken to Facebook to address his comments and apologize.

"My comment is not reflection of my beliefs on the issue. A mistake I regret. I hope to use my mistake, my platform and the community to create positive discussion to implement change on a very important issue. respect for the ones who stand up to say hey that isn't right. Now it's time to accept responsibility and all do better."
