So it started off with some posters that popped up around New York and online! In addition to the Big Apple ad campaign, a banner ad appeared on a number of hip-hop websites, including Complex.com, Fader and Hypebeast. The source code on Complex's ad contains "tidal-444," a possible link to Jay's music streaming service, Tidal. So could this be a clue that Jay will be dropping a new album soon! I think so!
Ok so some might be thinking "Big Deal, maybe it's for someone else." Well the number 4 is a big indicator that it has a connection to Jay! Let me break them down for you.
1. Jay's birthday is December 4th!
2. His anniversary with Beyonce is April 4th, (4/4)
3. He has the roman numeral 4 tattooed on his finger.
4. They said the number 4 is in his daughters name... Blue Ivy. (IV - 4)
So ok we get it, he loves the number 4!
What's another reason we think he's going to drop an album this year, well recently it was announced that Jay would be headlining "Made in America" and Austin City Limits later this year! Most artist don't sign up to do festials like that if they're not dropping new music! Remember when Kendrick dropped "DAMN" just before performing at Coachella?!
