Years ago my beloved dog got out of the yard and went missing. I remember I put flyers up all over the neighborhood, I called shelters and prayed that we'd find it. Then a week later I got a call from a nearby shelter and they said they think they found my dog! I rushed down there and YES it was my dog! I was so thankful so I know exactly how this girl feels.

Asha Nieves lost a dog two years ago, she said her dog Kovu got out through a small hole in the yard and then he went to a shelter and from there a family adopted him. However recently the family was facing possible eviction so they returned the dog, so he went back up on the shelter's website.

Well Asha felt like it was time to adopt another dog so she was on the website and saw Kovu's photo, except he had a different name.

“I at first thought, ‘No way is this my dog,’” Nieves told the Call. “They had him under another name, ‘Ash.’ When I was sure it was him, I got so excited I was literally shaking.”

Asha explained the reunion

“We locked eyes and I seen his smile and he started wagging his tail,” Nieves told the local TV station. - “Soon as he started coming, he started squealing and screaming and yelling and jumping on me kissing.”

Awwww I love it!
