Fancy new ATMs could mean the end of bank branches.

These new all-purpose banking machines will offer videoconferencing with live tellers, sell lottery tickets, offer added security with fingerprint scanners and even take loan applications.

Financial executives say advances in ATM technology will replace more and more human bank tellers and physical bank locations.

Right now there are about 425,000 ATMs in the United States, many of them are already being upgraded and the rest will be soon.

Citibank has just debuted new ATMs that "remember" your preferences, and features scrolling screens like an iPad.
