L.A. County 3-year guaranteed income pilot program launches for 300 youth

The L.A. County Department of Public Social Services started a 3 guaranteed income pilot program for youth between the ages of 18 & 24.Each of the 300 randomly selected young people need to be enrolled in the G.R.O.W. Program to receive the $1000 Monthly Payments.The GROW Program, helps transition aged youth explore job opportunities, especially those that have had limited educational and career experiences and have faced significant challenges in life, such as homelessness.Guaranteed income programs have shown to reduce income volatility, improve mental health and physical wellbeing, and improve the chances of a person getting fulltime employment.
