iPhone14 users that are riding rollercoasters have been triggering the iPhone 14's new car crash detection technology, which automatically alerts 9-1-1 if it senses a collision. The iPhone 14 & new Apple Watch line has tech which detects sudden stops or rapid decelerations to indicate whether a user has been involved in an accident. Once it's triggered the iPhone shows a 10-second countdown and sounds and alarm. If there's no response, the iPhone will call 9-1-1 and text emergency contacts that there's been an accident. The rollercoaster mix up has caused several first responders to react and worried relatives to call and make sure their loved ones are ok.
