Carmagedon is Back tonight on the 210 Freeway

The second phase of a construction project starts tonight on the 210 Fwy. The eastbound freeway will be closed between the 605 Freeway and Irwindale Avenue, continuing for five days, through 5 a.m. Aug. 23.During the closure, all eastbound traffic will be diverted onto the westbound freeway, which will be reconfigured to allow three lanes of traffic in each direction The reason for this closure is to repair two bridge hinges on the San Gabriel River Bridge.To avoid traffic: plan ahead, take alternate routes, use public transportation or just stay home.
