Earlier today, July 21st, a judge decided to not continue the temporary restraining order that was placed against Ricky Martin this month by his nephew who apparently dropped the case.

After having a virtual court hearing, the nephew "voluntarily desisted" from moving forward. He stated that he no longer needed the protection order, a court spokesperson told NBC News.

The order, was set to expire today and was granted July 1 under Puerto Rico’s Domestic Violence Prevention and Intervention Law, after Martin's nephew said he allegedly had a romantic relationship with his uncle for seven months and now “fears for his safety.” This is all according to documents gathered by Telemundo and shared with NBC News.
