Gov. Newsom Proposes $400 Checks To Help With Inflation

On Thursday Gov. Gavin Newsom proposed a $18.1 billion plan to to help with the impact of inflation on CA residents. The plan will include tax refunds to eligible vehicle owners, rental assistance, and money for hospital and nursing staff.

He also announced that CA minimum wage will go up to $15.50 per hour for all workers starting Jan. 1, 2023. A raise in minimum wage is required under law when inflation is over 7%.
