In a new biography about Aaliyah, details reveal that the artist had been given a sleeping pill and was unconscious before her fatal airplane crash.
Music journalist, Kathy Iandoli, published the information in her new book, "Baby Girl: Better Known as Aaliyah".
Sources claim that Aaliyah had been given a sleeping pill in the cab on the way to the airport and had to be carried onto the aircraft.
Aaliyah was anxious about the plane ride especially after learning that there was too much weight for the small, two-engine plane.
Reports confirmed that the plane was over its weight limit by several hundred pounds and that the pilot was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine.
