A woman from California faces up to 10 years in prison after she pled guilty to fraudulently obtaining over half a million in COVID unemployment benefits. She spent almost $300,00 from the money she fraudulently obtained.
In September, Cara Marie Kirk-Connell was arrested after being pulled over for a traffic stop. During the stop, cops noticed 8 EDD debit cards in her car with other people's names.
According to reports, she said she watched YouTube videos that show people how to commit EDD fraud.
