A former FDA commissioner says we're unlikely to see a coronavirus vaccine before November's general election.
Dr. Scott Gottlieb told CNBC Monday that he thinks "it's more likely you're going to get a top-line result some point in November and maybe be able to make a decision about an emergency use authorization after that."
Gottlieb says it will depend on how severe the outbreak is in the US at that point and how effective a vaccines is.
He thinks 70-80% effective could be enough for a fast-track
