Lil Twist took a hit to help Justin Bieber.
Speaking on the Mina's House podcast, Twist said he took the rap for a drug charge in 2013. He explained, "Told Justin and them they could put that on me in his early career because if they would’ve put weed charges on Justin in his early career it would’ve been bad on him.”
According to Twist, that one incident opened the door for Bieber's people to blame him for everything. He said, "it got to the point where I didn’t even have to be there at times and they would still say ‘Twist did it, Twist did it, Twist did it,'Yeah, we smoked weed. We both did. Yeah, we did such and such. We both did."
Twist went on to say that Bieber's handlers metaphorically "had their knee" on his neck to protect Bieber's squeaky clean image. By the way, the marijuana charges were a misdemeanor in California, and Twist was released without any penalty
