Hide your life insurance policy! A Texas man has been arrested after he allegedly killed his wife 2 days after she signed a $250,000 life insurance policy.
Police say the woman was found dead in her home on November 18th after the husband claimed an intruder killed his wife. He claims he was at the gym when his wife was killed and arrived at the home shortly after police. His wife was found shot dead in the living room with a cloth bag over her head. Police became suspicious after Collins couldn't explain why he didn't immediately return home when concerned and had also lied about whether they had life insurance. Detectives discovered his late wife had just signed a new policy 2 days prior. They also found that the husband only worked out for 5 minutes yet kept going in and out of the locker room. When they inspected the locker room, they found her keys, wallet, I.D. and cosmetics bag. She hadn't been to the gym since November 8th.
