A trial judge is about to make an important decision on whether or not to allow cameras in the courtroom during the trial against R. Kelly.

The request to have cameras in court came from several media organizations to televise the proceedings as Kelly has been charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

Other judges in high profile cases based in Chicago are having to make decisions about cameras too. Cameras are being considered in the Jussie Smollett case and in the case of former Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke.
