How to Bounce Back from a Food Hangover

Ok so you ate too much of your grandmother’s mashed potatoes, and you waited all year for your mother’s double chocolate cake, so you ate three pieces and now you’re suffering a food hangover. Here are some ways to sober up:

The first thing to do is get moving, take a walk after you eat to get your cells hydrated and your metabolism revved up.

Water is your friend, especially after drinking a few cocktails, so drink up after each alcoholic drink you have to keep you hydrated and aid in digestion.

Finally, after the holiday eating overload, don’t try to scale meals back. Skipping meals will only make your body hungrier, which will lead to overeating again. Eat fiber and foods low in fat to help speed up digestion and help you recover quicker.
