Sony Pictures released the first image of Tom Hanks as Mr. Rogers sitting outside of his trailer on a studio lot.
Hanks' casting as Rogers for the film "You Are My Friend" was announced earlier this year to much applause.
Mr. Rogers' youngest son, John, told TMZ that his father was a big fan Tom Hanks especially when it came to his iconic "Forrest Gump."
