Don't fall into the trap of spending more money at the supermarket than you should. Stores are set up purposely to extract hard earned cash from your hands.
Do you really need that pack of gum and bottle of soda while waiting to check out? That's just one of the ways they trick you.
They also set up impulse purchases at the end of aisles by placing flowers and bakery items near the front of the store, and playing music that subliminally keeps you in the store longer.
Stay away from pre-sliced produce, meats, and loose fruits and vegetables as they are significantly marked up.
