Dodgers veteran infielder Chase Utley will reportedly retire at the end of this season according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
According to a source who spoke to ESPN, Utley plans to hold a news conference in Los Angeles to announce that he will retire at the end of the 2018 season.
Although he plans to play out the rest of this season he will not return for the 2019 season. Which also happens to be the second year of his $2 million contract.
