Movie Pass is the service where you pay a flat fee to watch movies each month, but they are about to switch things up.
Movie Pass announced that they will start to use surge pricing for blockbuster movies on opening weekend.
They want to try and get more users to visit in the middle of the week and at times other than the opening weekend.
Surge pricing will only apply to month-to-month subscribers. Movie pass hasn’t announced how much extra they are going to charge but said it will start around $2 at the end of the summer.
They also announced that they will add an option for you to buy tickets for friends who don’t subscribe to the service.
