Dr Dre Making A Marvin Gaye Biopic!

With the blessing of Marvin Gaye's estate Dr Dre has been given permission to produce a biopic about the RnB legend.

Despite attempts by directors like F Gary Gray, Cameron Crowe, Lenny Kravitz, and James Gandolfini, Dre is the first to secure film rights to Marvin's story. According to sources, Dre has also secured the rights to Gaye's catalog.

This will be Dre's first film after producing the NWA biopic, "Straight Outta Compton."

There could of been a clue to the deal if you paid attention to the 2017 HBO special "The Defiant Ones." In the movie, there's footage of Dre mixing a version of Marvin's "I Want You."

Let's just hope it doesn't take as long to hit theaters as it's taking for him to release that "Detox" album.
