Your pillow could be the cause of your sleepless nights, especially if it’s been over 2 years since you’ve washed it!
According to a new study by Dow, after 2 years of using your pillow the weight of your pillow increases due to dead skin, bugs, dust mites, and their droppings.
The study also concluded that 20 percent of people and 80 percent of allergy suffers are allergic to dust mites.
Loss of sleep can cause major health risks including type 2 diabetes and heart disease. For clean pillows opt for washable foam, down, or fiberfill pillows and be sure to wash them every 3-6 months.
