Kid Has Super Deep, Scary Response To Classroom Riddle

Kids really do say the darndest things!

First grade teacher Bret Turner wasn't expecting to get so deep with his students when he wrote the 'Puzzle of the Week' on the board as usual. It read, "I am the beginning of everything, the end of everywhere. I'm the beginning of eternity, the end of time and space."

Honestly, I probably wouldn't have gotten that back in first grade myself...

But one kid got all philosophical with his answer.

Turner admitted in a post on Twitter, "The first guess from one of my 1st graders was “death” and such an awed, somber, reflective hush fell over the class that I didn’t want to tell them that actually the answer is the letter e, which just seemed so banal in the moment."

That's deep.
