Kentucky teacher Brandi Lynn Vaughn was sentenced to one year in prison Friday after pleading guilty to using an electronic device to "induce a minor to engage in sexual activities" back in November.
Vaughn admitted to authorities that she had sex with a 16-year-old student back in 2015. She was subsequently arrested.
The former science teacher was married at the time of the incidents, according to the Richmond Register.
"In exchange for her guilty plea, prosecutors dropped two counts of first-degree sexual abuse; two counts of third-degree sodomy; one count each of third-degree rape and evidence tampering." the article reads. "Those charges also were Class D felonies."
Woah.
