STAPLES Center & LA Live Will Not Air Finals Or Any Potential Celebrations

Portland Trail Blazers v Los Angeles Lakers

This postseason, James and the Los Angeles Lakers are 3-0 in closeout games while James personally has won 16 of the last 17 closeout opportunities he's had, including six in a row. He'll have an opportunity to make it seven in a row when the Lakers take on the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the 2020 NBA Finals.

Even though the Lakers haven't celebrated in the streets of Los Angeles since 2010, a message has been sent out by Staples Center saying the game will not be aired outside of Staples Center and most of the area will be blocked off. Here is the memo:

Staples Center and LA Live will not be airing or showing the game or potential postgame celebrations on any of the exterior digital signage. Vehicle and pedestrian access will be limited in and around STAPLES Center and L.A. Live property including the closing of all sidewalks on the north and south side of Chick Hearn Court as well as STAPLES Center's Star Plaza and LA Live's Microsoft Plaza.
Fans are encourage to watch the game and celebrate responsibly at home.
