Are you on Facebook? Well, you might want to be on the look out for this.
According to Business Insider, more than 533 million users personal information was shared to the hacker-utilized site in the United States.
The personal information about these users across 106 different countries was published over the weekend in what’s being described as a “low level hacking forum.” The information that was shared included phone numbers, full names, locations, email addresses, birthdates, Facebook IDs, and other things.
In a statement given by Facebook: “This is old data that was previously reported on in 2019. We found and fixed this issue in August 2019," the Facebook spokesperson said.
Facebook did not say if it notified affected users. However, they are making sure this doesn't occur again.
