It looks like the COVID-19 guidelines are slowly being lifted.

According to the CDC, people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can travel within the United States, as long as they continue to take precautions.

CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky says, the new guidance means that "fully vaccinated grandparents can fly to visit their healthy grandkids without getting a COVID-19 test, or self-quarantining, provided they follow the other recommended prevention measures."

However, while fully vaccinated people who travel are at low risk, the number of COVID-19 cases does continue to rise. Walensky adds "CDC is not recommending travel at this time due to the rising number of cases."

So at the end of the day, it's your decision if you expose yourself to traveling. To read more about this, visit ABC 7 Los Angeles.
