Fake Vaccines & Vaccination Cards Being Sold Hits Huge Spike

Scammers are cashing in on fake COVID-19 vaccination cards as the demand for proof of vaccination is building.

According to a new report by IT security firm Check Point Research, within the last three months, there's been a huge spike in ads for fake vaccines, pretending to be Johnson & Johnson, Astra Zeneca, Sputnik, and Sino Pharm.

BBC says rices for fake vaccine reportedly range from $500 to $750 with certificates selling for as low as $150.

“It’s clear to us that the target audience for darknet vaccine vendors are actually dealers, not necessarily the public at large,” Check Point spokesperson Ekram Ahmed told Fox News.

“We paid them. They gave us a FedEx tracking number. The transaction was made last week, and we have yet to get the vaccine we ordered,” Ahmed said.

Earlier this year, the Federal Trade Commission issued an advisory about COVID vaccination scams saying that you could not buy vaccine doses anywhere.

The vaccines are only only available at federal and state approved locations. So make sure you don't get scam and get the accurate, correct ones issued by approved locations.
