The Weeknd has a loud and clear message for the Grammys!
According to a statement on New York Times, the Weeknd said he's boycotting the awards show “because of the secret committees.” “I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys,” he added.
Despite all the critical and commercial acclaim his most recent album After Hours received, the Recording Academy failed to nominate the record or its No. 1 single “Blinding Lights."
In November 2020, when the nominations were released thousands of fans and public figures were also very upset that Abel has no recognition. In fact, Drake who's good friends with the Weeknd also took Instagram to share his thoughts and opinions on the snub.
