Teen Secures COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments For Hundreds Of Seniors

Peru Continues Vaccination Campaign Against COVID-19 Amid Corruption Allegations

Benjamin Kagan, a 14-year-old high school freshman in Chicago is helping track down coronavirus vaccines as elderly seniors in his town struggled to find and make appointments.

TODAY reports that some seniors have spent hours, even days trying to make an appointment for the vaccine so he wanted to do something to help.

Kagan says he saw a story about a Facebook group who was working together to find vaccines for people in need.

"I thought, I could do this," he told TODAY. Kagan then turned to his computer and started helping locals get their appointments. "I figured, OK, well, all these people need help and some of them aren't good at using technology — that's an issue that we face a lot with some of the older people in the group," he added.

He then started a Google document, where people in his area could submit their names and information. Then, Kagan tracked down an appointment for them. Since the start of the document, Kagan says he's helped more than 250 people schedule their vaccine appointments.

Pretty impressive. Way to go Kagan!
