NASA Releases First Audio of What Life on Mars Sounds Like

NASA Perseverance Rover Lands On Mars

NASA just released the first video of the landing of the rover on the Red Planet and it's quite interesting.

The video clip of a little over 3-minutes shows the deployment of the parachute and the rover's touchdown on the surface of Mars.

"These are really amazing videos," Michael Watkins, director of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, said at a briefing for reporters. "This is the first time we've ever been able to capture an event like the landing on Mars."

“Perseverance is attempting to answer one of the biggest questions in the history of humanity: Is there life elsewhere in the solar system?” said Explore Mars co-founder and CEO Chris Carberry, NBC News reports. “If people can’t get excited about this mission, I don’t know what’s wrong with them.”

Take a listen to the audio in the video clip above.
