While Southern California is known to always have traffic, Los Angeles and Irvine has been ranked one of the top 20 best cities to live in without a car. The car services company Lawnstarter completed the ranking and based it on factors like walkability, transit options and pedestrian safety.
Los Angeles came in at No. 16., following Irvine with No. 17 then Santa Ana, Long Beach and Huntington Beach. Other cities that made the list included San Francisco, Portland, Washington D.C., New York and Boston.
