In what was a tough decision for Bungie, they have decided to push back the release date for their forthcoming expansion, Shadowkeep, to their extremely popular title Destiny 2.
"Being independent means that the future of Destiny 2 is entirely on our team," Destiny 2 director Luke Smith and general manager Mark Noseworthy wrote in a blog post. "It also means that we're agile enough to choose to do what's best for the game and our players, even if it's the hard choice."
Shadowkeep was originally supposed to release on September 17 and has no been pushed to October 1st. This also delays the new Free-To-Play version. Smith & Noseworthy did say that cross-save would arrive sooner than the expansion itself which has been a huge request from the community for quite some time.
With the delay, Bungie has also pushed back other key dates including the endgame activity that most guardians grind for...the raid. The new raid, Garden Of Salvation, will release on October 5.
