The opening acts for The Weeknd’s stadium tour has finally been announced.
Variety did an interview with The Weeknd's team on Thursday, support for the 19-date North American run was talked about. Mike Dean, Snoh Aalegra, and Kaytranada will be joining the tour on certain dates. As previously talked about, Doja Cat, was supposed to be a “special guest” but then said in May she had to drop out cause she has to undergo surgery.
“Unfortunately I have to have surgery on my tonsils ASAP. The surgery is routine but the recovery is going to take awhile due to swelling,”
Which she said on an Instagram update at the time.
“That means I have to cancel my festival run this summer as well as The Weeknd tour. I feel horrible about this but can’t wait for this to heal and get back to making music and create an experience for y’all.”
