Wanted to make sure you had all the details on the "super rare blue blood moon" that will appear tonight at around 2:40 pm on the West Coast!
This moon is apparently the product of three separate cosmic occurrences: a lunar eclipse, a blue moon, and a supermoon.
According to NASA, all three things happen separately on their own schedules ranging from every few months to every few years, but the rare times they all sync up is known as a super blue blood moon.
