Even thought American Idol is on it's way back, the show won't be what we're used to.
American Idol showrunner Trish Kinane told the Hollywood Reporter that the show will no longer be exploiting the beloved "bad auditions." "It doesn't feel comfortable to put borderline unstable people up on stage and laugh at them," Kinane said.
That means we won't be seeing any more auditions like this:
And who could forget William Hung??
Returning host Ryan Seacrest and new judge Katy Perry agree with the show's new stance on serious auditions.
"What was important to me [about the reboot] was that there were going to be stars on the show that were going to come on to collaborate and take this seriously and give the franchise what it deserves," Seacrest said.
Katy Perry urged, "Literally, we are wasting our time if we are not finding another star."
Are you looking forward to the reboot?
