John Carlos, one of the Olympians who iconically raised his fist during the ceremony at the 1968 games, says Colin Kaepernick's battle is an uphill one.
TMZ got Carlos on the phone and asked him about Kaep's current situation. He says once you jump into social and civil rights, you end up in a "whirlpool" of people who don't understand your purpose, or worse, people that do understand, but want to get in your way.
